4.1.3 House Bread

Oven Temperature: 240° for 10 min, then 180°
Time in oven/on stove: 40 min

Resting time: 2 h
Time to actively work on it: 30

Ingredients

Ingredient Preparation
500g flour
1.5 tsp salt
20 g yeast
1/2tsp sugar
350ml water

Instructions

  1. Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth.
  4. Form ball and let rest in a bowl covered with a towel until doubled in size.
  5. Form bread by pressing the dough flat then folding all the sides to the middle and turn around.
  6. Dust with flower and cut couple of times in both direction.
  7. Place on baking tray, and place a small bowl filled with water next to the bread and bake for 10 min in oven on 240°.
  8. Reduce heat to 180° without opening the door.
